Let’s sit down and align with the magic of so many kids going back to school ~

But let’s do it in a choose-your-own-adventure, magic-school for grown women kind of way.

Let’s craft, create, imagine, design, step into, and delight in the beginning of a new level. Together.

It NEVER made sense to me that New Year’s Eve was in December. Or that the new year started in January.

Ever.

I guess it’s because I was programmed - since what? 5 years old? - to see September as the time that I went ‘up’ a level.

September meant a new grade.

September meant a new teacher.

September meant a new outfit.

September meant back-to-school supplies. I’d get a new pencil case (if I was lucky), a couple of new pens, a new eraser, and some pencils.

And then, and then, on the first day of school, we’d get our new workbooks. I LOVED a new, clean notebook.

I loved sitting in class and getting an outline of what was coming. It all felt so fresh and new and possible.

Let’s do THAT again!

I was just sitting here wondering about how much I want to take a break in August. How much my body wants to stop and enjoy sunsets and creativity and wonder. I want to play and design and delight and linger.

Yes, I want to linger. For a week or two.

I guess that’s been programmed in too.

And I just thought of HOW I could do that without guilt or shame or remorse:

I could decide that I will go up a level in September, and I will plan to plan for it.

This is my - and your - Magic School Letter: You are invited to join me in the new ‘magic school year’ in September.

We’ll gather on the day after the day after Labour Day (or Labor Day if you are from the US) when traditionally many children have been back in school for a day or two - and if you are in the UK/Europe or NZ/Aus, or anywhere else, it will be the third day of September - and we’ll:

Craft, create, imagine, design, step into, and delight in the beginning of a new level.

We’ll gather:

• You’ll have had homework (sent in August): A new notebook. New pen. New Pencils (sharpened). A Planner (or Diary)

• You’ll have collected some markers, some images & your favourite oracle/tarot decks if you have them: magical supplies.

• I’ll lead us through creating our very own curriculum for the coming year - with school breaks, and weekends, and long term vision built in.

• We’ll create and craft a vision for who we want to be by next August, how we want to feel when we linger in the beauty of it, and then we’ll reverse engineer that.

• With ORACLE cards! And markers! And cut-and-paste.

You’ll Learn How To

1. Craft a Year From a Vision

This is you, uplevelling. Not from now to the unimaginably far, but from now to the next juicy level. What would feel aligned with your values? Let’s create that.

2. Factor in Cycles

Ben Hardy says we are supposed to take 150 days off a year. Did you know that? I know, that’s a lot. But we are going to embrace the notion of CYCLES. How do you ‘usually’ feel in the spring? In February? In October? So let’s PLAN for that now.

3. Make magic.

Once we have the system in place, we’ll make some magic for it. We’ll step into the new timeline, and commit to it. We’ll commit and figure how to show up for ourselves in the best way possible.
