Untangling

Writing Prompt

  1. When it is untangled from money, what does Good Fortune mean to you? What does it feel like? What does it look like? What do you think it is?

Doing this today will give you a record of where you are at right now. Then when we get to the last few days I will ask you to check in again. Let’s see what shifts when we focus our attention on something for 30 days.

Good fortune for me when I feel:  life is sooo good. It can be a surprising event, like I heard a song in the supermarket the other day that was quite sad, but still it gave me this feeling oh I am so glad I am here and alive 😘

Good fortune to me feels like the blessings and miracles that I have experienced. Good fortune are my beautiful friendships. My loving husband. Great health! And the world of color 💞

Good fortune are the good, the magical, the joy, the loving things around you that occur all the time (even in ‘bad’ times). There’s always something. I can think of several examples from my hospital stay last year, tiny things that I’m glad happened even if I’d rather I hadn’t had to be in that situation in the first place.

I love this so much! Good fortune is everywhere. It’s in the tribe that cheers me on and believes in me and my existence (especially during times when I’m struggling). It’s in the softness of my dogs fur, the sound of her snoring and the pep in her step which is now a hop as she is a tripawd). Good Fortune is in the clients that trust me with their stories, heartache and trauma. And it’s in the whispers of all things nature when I actually stop to listen. It’s also inside of me when I can take the time to slow down and be with myself; to notice myself as a living breathing Being on this earth.
